Hi, I’m Kai Yu, a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Center for Biomedical Image Computing and Analytics (CBICA), Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. And My research mainly focuses on medical image and signal analysis for healthcare.

    • Duties included: collaborating with multiple global technology companies to align project requirements and conducting research and development on multimodal foundation model algorithms in ophthalmology and other medical areas.

  • Jan. 2016 – Dec. 2019: Co-Founder, AI R&D Lead
    • Suzhou BigVision Medical Technology Co.,Ltd
    • Duties included: leading the development and application of in-house OCT device algorithms, focusing on automatic analysis of fundus and OCT images (denoising, segmentation, classification, report generation). Responsibilities also encompass collaborating with partner hospitals on algorithm and product development, and participating in medical device certification processes.
